Question:

I need to make a cream cheese frosting, do you know of any vegan cream cheese out there?

Answer:

I haven't seen one. We found a vegan sour cream and experimented with it in our faux cream cheese icing (tofu based) and it was too sour tasting for a sweet dessert.

Web Mother's Note: Tofutti Cream Cheese is used by a lot of vegans, but be aware that the sugar in the product may or may not be processed through bone char. The company stated to me that they use both refined and beet sugar and could not guarantee which one was in which batch.
