Book Review

Baby Matters
by Dr. Linda Folden Palmer
Review by Erin Pavlina

Baby MattersWhen I first sat down to read Baby Matters I intended to read a chapter and then go make dinner for Steve and Emily. An hour and a half later I was still reading, and Steve and Emily were eating dinner without me. I believe I read for so long because the book confirmed everything I suspected about parenting an infant, from the health aspects to the emotional bonding that takes place between a mother and a baby.

The book is well researched. Dr. Palmer does a great job of summarizing the research associated with the first year of baby's life and writing in a style that makes you feel like you're talking to a girlfriend over tea and cookies. It's an easy to understand book with an important message about how to take care of your baby.

I think the book will definitely appeal to moms interested in attachment parenting, breastfeeding and feeding their kids a healthy diet. And for those of you looking for facts to back up what you already instinctively knew, this is the book for you.
