Neil Z. Miller has written several books on the subject of vaccines and their safety. Immunizations: The People Speak is a quick, informative, question and answer style book. Miller answers questions from people who called in to radio shows he has done.

What I liked most about this book is that it goes right to the heart of the matter without spending time on documentation. Documentation is a wonderful thing, don't get me wrong, but Miller covered that in his other books. This is a great book for the beginner who is interested in the vaccine debate and wants some basic answers before delving into the scientific studies behind these ideas.

The book is organized by topic (shots). Miller answers questions about polio, smallpox, measles, mumps, DPT, AIDS, SIDS, the government fund to compensate families victimized by vaccines, the legal aspects of declining vaccines, pending legislation that would require children to be immunized, and more.

Before you have your children vaccinated, read up on the issue and the debate surrounding the efficacy and safety of these shots. It's every parents' responsibility to know the effect of any drug their child is going to receive. Prepare yourself to be disturbed if you aren't familiar with the debate.
