Book ReviewSinfully Veganby Lois Dieterly Review by Jennifer Santoyo Lois Dieterly must have had a joyous time coming up with ideas and recipes for this book... I know I would have never left the kitchen if I was the taste-tester! Sinfully Vegan is a sweet-lover's delight. This book offers over two hundred pages of 100% vegan dessert recipes, with something for everyone's tastes. It also provides a forward on veganism and a list of famous vegans.
When agonizing over which recipe to try first, I decided on an old favorite, Chocolate Lover's Pudding. Not only was the taste better than I'd hoped for, but the texture was exactly what it should be. I have tried making pre-packaged pudding with vegan alternatives, only to find it does not set as it should. This recipe solved that problem and gave me a new chocolate-attack snack! Another favorite that I thought I had seen the last of is the German Chocolate Cake. This recipe is just like you remember.. delicious! The Coconut-Pecan frosting completed the cake perfectly. With easy-to-follow directions, these recipes were quick to make, which only lead to quick to eat! I recommend this book to all who love sweets, whether vegan or not. A healthy choice for everyone. |
