I have become a vegan to fight prostate cancer and have had amazing results. I regularly eat "Soy Dream" ice cream as a treat and have been experiencing leg cramps I recently made the connection between the ice cream and the cramps. When I don't eat it for a couple of days the cramps don't ocurr. Have you heard of this before or do you have any input as to why this is ocurring? .

Congratulations for making the switch to a vegan diet to improve your health. It is a step in the best direction.

I have not heard of a direct correlation between the soy ice cream and leg cramps but I would like to point out that if the reason you are following a vegan diet is health, then eating soy ice cream is not treating your body right. You can make a wonderful treat with frozen bananas and fruit blended in your food processor. You can add cocoa powder or vanilla extract to this and wind up with a dish that is actually good for you unlike soy ice cream which is a processed product. Following a whole foods, vegan diet will likely help you maintain and improve your health.
