When a vegan recipe refers to margarine, is that regular old margarine or is there a vegan version? - Judy

Dear Judy,

Those recipes refer to vegan margarines, not any old kind. There are some margarines out there that contain whey (a cheese by-product). Vegans avoid those. Luckily there are several great vegan margarines on the market. Look for: Earth Balance, Willow Run, and/or Spectrum Spread.
