What's your favorite vegan ice cream brand?

Our favorite around here is Soy Dream. Vanilla Fudge Swirl and Strawberry Swirl are our favorites.

We also like the Lil Dreamers (ice cream sandwiches) that they make because they're low in calories and fat.

I like Soy Delicious Chunky Mint Madness. It''s in their new Purely Decadent line. Yummy!

I find it hard to find really good vegan ice cream here (in the UK). It seems that the more interesting flavours are all made with hydrogenated fats and most brands contain a lot of sugar.

I am still looking for my favourite brand! :)

Karen, have you tried Soy Dream? They've got a butter pecan that is out of this world!!

I find that after people have Soy Dream they often don't like Soy Delicious as much. So I'm curious if you've tried Soy Dream.

Erin - I have tried Soy Dream but our health food store only carries 2 flavors - chocolate and vanilla. They are both delicious, I was just happy to see a brand that had different flavors.

Butter pecan, huh? Maybe I can ask my store to get it. I'd love to try it. Thanks for letting me know that other flavors actually exist in the Soy dream brand.:)

Ah, yes, now I understand. The chocolate and vanilla Soy Dream's are nothing special. The vanilla fudge swirl and the butter pecan and strawberry swirl are top notch! Not to be missed.

See if your store will carry those flavors. Have you had any of the Soy Dream ice cream novelty products? Like Lil Dreamers or the bars and pies?

My favorite is Soy Delicious peanut butter chocolate. Before I went vegan I would take vanilla ice cream and add chocolate sauce and peanut butter. I ADORE peanut butter and chocolate, so I was happy to discover there was a pb/c soy ice cream. I have tried Soy Dream (the fudge swirl kind) and thought it was good, but Soy Delicious pb/c remains my favorite! :)

Nope, they don't sell these either.:( They *do* sell an ice cream cookie (ice cream between 2 cookies) but I can't remember who makes them. Soy Delicious? Anyway, they are really yummy.

Soy Cream. It is made by Double Rainbow and is pretty hard to find, but their vanilla is the best vegan vanilla without all the hydrogenated stuff I have found. And the Blueberry one and the Coffee Almond Fudge are outstanding!

Oh my gosh!! My local grocery store just started carrying Purely Decadent (I stopped in a couple days ago and saw it for the first time). Of course, I had to get some, so I picked up Chocolate Obsession and Cookie Avalanche! YUMMY!!!! The best vegan ice cream I've ever had! And this isn't even a natural foods store- it's just a regular grocery store with a *really* good natural foods section! ;) I feel bad for you guys who don't have good natural foods selections in your cities. I suppose you probably eat healthier than me, though, since I've discovered vegan "junk food" (mainly soy ice cream, Alternative Baking Co. cookies, plus homemade goodies).

oh wow, all those brands sound so so good! americans really know how to make food taste good (even if the mainstream stuff is all flavourings). all i've been able to find in ireland is swedish glace icecream, which is very nice but only seems to come in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
i think i should start planning a trip to america!!

soy dream peanut butter chocolate is sooo good... especially in a milk shake with rice milk and frozen bananas...

i also like tofutti cuties and too-toos.. but they are an indulgence because they are expensive.
