Sadhana Forest invites you to take part in building a sustainable vegan community. We are a vegan home-schooling family working with volunteers towards reforesting 70 acres in the International Community of Auroville in Tamil Nadu, South India. We practice an eco-friendly way of life including veganism, alternative construction, solar energy and composting toilets. Future projects also include creating a vegan organic vegetable garden in order to increase our sustainability and implementing a grey water system. Volunteers contribute four hours of work per day in exchange for bungalow-style accommodations. Families with children are encouraged to join us as well as people of all physical abilities. Facilities for volunteers include a vegan community kitchen, children's playground, small pool and bungalows.
