Would I be able to get away with using cooked/unsalted cashews instead of raw cashews? This is for a recipe for "cheese" sauce.

How are they used in the recipe? Soaked and then blended? I have never tried that with cooked cashews but my guess is that they would take quite a bit longer to soak and the flavor would be different, probably richer but less "milky." Just guessing though.

It just said to put them in the food processor and grind them into a fine powder. I just tried the recipe and I didn't like it at all:p
