I know that current research has found that there is no assimilable form of B12 in plant based foods. The current recommendation is that all adults take b12 supplements daily. If I'm breastfeeding my 2.5 year old still and taking b12 supplements do I also need to give him some form of supplement or does he get enough? What do you do with your toddlers?

For B12 I rely on the following:

meat analogues like tempeh, tofu, and tvp
fortified soy or rice milk
nutritional yeast from Red Star
fortified juices
veggie-deli slices
and a few other things that are escaping my memory

I also give Emily a KidBear vitamin which has 50% of her B12 requirement in every 2 bears. She loves them and I feel better knowing she's covered.
