This board has been a little quiet, so I was just wondering how everybodies' pregnancies are going ?
I'm 17 weeks now, so feeling good, and eating like a horse, and my tummy is expanding. I am starting to enjoy being pregnant, and have felt baby's first movements. What stage is everybody else at?

Hello. I'm at 13 weeks, and starting to feel better, I think. I'm still having food issues, though. I STILL have aversions to so many things; especially green veggies. I know that in the first trimester the baby's living off it's yolk sack and it doesn't matter if you eat cereal all the time, but now I do need to focus on eating well. So I've started forcing myself to eat stir fry and greens again. I'm just looking forward to enjoying food.

Don't forget fruit smoothies! You can get a lot of vitamins in a fruit smoothie. Here is a link to the recipes I used when I was pregnant.

And I use the Vita Mix, which is an awesome machine. If you decide to buy a new or reconditioned vita mix, be sure to use the VegFamily coupon code to get free shipping. Details at http://www.vegfamily.com/vitamix.htm

Hi janine
I know just what you mean, having only recently started eating lots again. I still have a MAJOR aversion to onions, and also to garlic, though I'm getting a little better with that one, and cooked carrots and tomato paste too. If you don't feel you're getting enough greens, you could do what I did (and still do) and take spirulina tablets as well.

What a coinkidink, I made a smoothie last night and was thinking I should do it every day, especially this winter when frozen fruit is the best fruit option. I used soy milk instead of fruit juice, and it made it like a milk shake. Yumm. How do you feel about adding a protein supplement to them? I'm generally not into that kind of thing, but I thought it might be a good idea. The stuff I bought is called "Veg Protein Booster" by Naturade. It has 24g protein per 1/3 cup, and 100% B12 and 30% iron. Of course, I'm taking prenatals, so I don't want to OD on B12, heh heh.
By the way, do you remember that I was going to write a diary entry this summer but miscarried? I got pregnant right away, and now I'm further along than I was either time I miscarried, so I think this may work out. You would think with 2 m/c's, the doctor would take special care of me, but they apparently think it's common enough to have 2 that I don't have an ultrasound scheduled until 20 weeks! Aaaah! How will I make it?
