Hi, I am new to this board and I thought I'd introduce myself. I just stumbled across this site a few days ago and have been coming back again and again to read more!! So guilty me, I have been snooping and nosing around this board today and I thought I'd join in. :D
Anyway, my name is Sylver, I live in Canada with my boyfriend and our 5 year old dd. She and I are vegan, but her dad isn't. He is (mostly) supportive of my decision, and knew it would come eventually, just not as soon as it did, I think! LOL
We just recently live a vegan lifestyle, and we are still learning as we go. DD has a harder time with the changes, but is coming along and really begining to understand the reasons and she (and I) both feel better about it. I think she was thinking she wouldn't be able to have all the things she loved (ice cream!), but now knows that there are always replacements for these things, and is happier eating them.
As for her dad, he eats what I cook, and doesn't mind it at all. He just doesn't like analogues and would rather not eat immitation meats. Any other time he will eat meat as he usually has, and we respect eachother's decisions, but still like to make jokes! :p
Okay...I think that's all for now....maybe I'll write a diary or else this post will be really long! I'm glad I found this forum and this site.
