Welcome Lisa. How long have you been vegan, why did you go vegan, and tell us all about yourself. :)

Hello everyone!

Well, i am 19 years old, and live just north of London, England. I am currently a student of Veterinary Nursing at uni (but i'm thinking of leaving as i am not really enjoying the course too much).

My journey into veganism began just over a year ago when i bought a book called 'Conversations With God'- this book has, and is continuing to change my life. Has anyone heard of it, or even read it? It's basically a conversation that took place between a man called Neale Donald Walsh and God in 1994. But as i read it, it became a conversation between myself and God. God shares such profound truths with me- truths about myself, life and the universe. One such truth is that i am beautiful and precious beyond comprehension as is every single human being and every single life form. This simple message has really affected my life in the sense that i no longer believe society's pre-conditioned theories about 'beauty' and 'ugliness'- there relly is no such thing as 'ugly'. Have you ever just gone and looked in the mirror, no clothes or make up on, and thought "wow! i really am an amazing creation!"? This is happening to me more and more, and it really is setting me free in a sense :o) I am learning to love myself more and more, and as i do this, i am seeing the profound magnficence in all other beings- humans and animals (and plants too!). I just LOVE LIFE!! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!! :o)

To this date, i have been a vegan since February this year and i have loved every moment of it! I LOVE vegan food! Especially the cakes, biscuits and other yummy puddings we can make that don't use or harm our beautiful animal friends! I would love one day to set up a small vegan bakery somewhere and share my love of vegan food with others :o)

My intersets are LOVE, LOVE and LOVE! Sharing love with people is an amazing expeience- just receiving a smile from someone makes me feel warm inside
:p

I am a fairly quiet person who enjoys peace and tranquility and sharing my life with others. One of my dreams is to travel the entire world and experience as much of this beautiful planet as possible! I would really like some vegan friends :)

Well, that is me :)

Thanks for the warm welcome i have received :p

Take care everyone and God Bless!

Love from Lisa :)

Hello LIsa and welcome! I too have read "Conversations With God - Book One"" (about 5 years ago) and I was and am still deeply moved. I was so taken by the book that I read books two, three, and "Friendship With God". They are wonderful! What a great conversation.

These books explain the why of life! No question is left unasked. I would reccomend them to anyone. It is obvious how enthused you are. I don't think people could understand unless they read the books.

One of the quotes I remember distinctly in regards to daily choices you make is: "What would love do now?.
