Last year, my therapist had me take a test called the Kiersey Temperment test. I tend to take other people's conflict personally by trying to fix everything in the lives of people I love (especially family). Anyway, I was curious how many vegans have the same temperment I do. I'm an Idealist: Champion, ENFP.
They say that Idealists are the rarest of all the temperments. This got me thinking about the small percentage of vegans and wondered how many are considered idealists.

Take the test and Reply with your Type. Should be interesting! I'm expecting there will be a fair amount of artisans as well (artists).

I guess I am an idealist (NF) too, although I'm not sure what the "NF" stands for. I hope it doesn't stand for "no fun" LOL!

I thought if people didn't feel like taking the test, I'd paste a short explanation of the gaurdian and idealist types for them to read. Pretty interesting!
Idealist:
Idealists can and do get this upset about harming an insect, but they care even more deeply about being kind to their fellow men and helping them along life's journey. Idealists might even be thought of as the personal growth temperament, for they are passionate not only about becoming better human beings themselves, but also about nurturing personal development in their family members, in their friends, colleagues, students, parishioners, patients, clients -- as well as in their communities, even in the world at large.
Gaurdian:
Home and family are the foundation of Guardian life, and they undertake journeys and adventures cautiously, and always with careful preparation. In fact, Guardians might be thought of as the cornerstone temperament, as they are the solid citizens given to establishing and upholding society's most important institutions: not only homes and families, but schools, churches, hospitals, businesses, neighborhoods, and communities.

Blinky,
NF doesn't mean you're no fun! Below are what the letters represent.
Extroversion (E) and Introversion (I)
Intuition (N) and Sensing (S)
Thinking (T) and Feeling (F)
Judgement (J) and Perception (P)

According to this, I too am an Idealist. Unfortunately according to a test I did last week (I am also addicted to this type of thing!) I am a man with autistic tendencies. I'm pretty sure I'm not, though.;)

Apparently I am an Idealist (NF), as well. The description sounded fairly flattering - 'inspiring to others, enthusiastic, etc' :)

I seem to be the oddball,
I was given a "Rational" temperament with an ESTJ profile.
I am part of only 5-7% of the population and seem to be well suited for my line of work. It also fits well with my history.
It seems that George W. Bush is an ESTJ personality also...
I realize that I don't have the "typical" attitude and perceptions that are associated with vegans. I just arrived at the same point many vegans have by a different route.
