Hi about the vegan food in Canada....
I don't know if you have a Noah's close by, but they have a great selection of meat and dairy alternatives, they carry stuff from puddings to a wide variety of ice creams, cheeses, chocolates and so on.

At sobey's I've found yogurt, cheese, ice cream and read the labels of the puddings, or the pudding powders, some of them are vegan.
Dominion is usually well stocked as well.

Good luck!!

Hey Cav,

I used to live right by the Noah's on Bloor!

You should also try Whole Foods in Yorkville. They have amazing vegan butter called Earth Balance, they have vegan chocolate mouse, and the best vegan chocolate cake, the whole cake for like $6! Just ask for the dairy free cake.

If I sound like I am drooling it is because I moved away to finish school...and there are very few vegan places in Windsor compared to Toronto...
