I just had to share something my son (aged 6) said this morning. He was sitting with a dreamy look on his face and then he said "When I grow up I want to marry a vegan". I said "ok!", then he said "but how will I find one? Will I just go round asking people if they're vegan?"
I thought that was cute. Also made me wish we knew other vegan kids (though I have just been put in touch with a local vegan family support group which sounds promising).
Also, the kids have just made friends with the next-door-neighbour kids, who have a holiday house and are only there now and again for holidays. My kids went over to visit and when they came back Lily (aged 3 and a half) said "their mum gave me a biscuit (cookie) but I said I couldn't eat it because it wasn't vegan, and I had an orange instead". I was so proud of her!
