we have a 10 month old little boy we're raising vegan. he has been eatting pureed fruits and vegetables for about 5 months now. we give him puffed corn/wheat cereal..and just started in the past month to give him dried berries..primarily cranberrrys. and some steamed/raw vegetables whenever we eat them. He still is eatting formula as well as breakfast/lunch/dinner pureed and finger foods.
though we give him these finger foods rarely does he "eat" them. they go in his mouth for a bit and he spits all of them out. is this normal? i thought by 10 months that he would be ingesting more solids but it still seems the same.
Also, at this age is there anything else i should be doing to encourage him with his eatting habits? Should i be worrying about how much formula he is getting? Or what nutrients he will be needing everyday?

All of these questions!

ive heard also that introducing tofu shouldnt be until over a year old? is this accurate?

any help and/or resources with this would be much appreciated!!

it sounds like he is doing just fine. as long as he is getting enough formula every day, you shouldnt have to worry. babies get the majority of their nutrition from formula/breast milk till they are about a year old.
baby foods and eating at this age is really just a learning experience: babies are learning new tastes and how to eat solid foods.
ETA: as long as he is growing at his own rate, he's fine.

I have 4 and they have all done this( chewing and spitting out) food and texture is still a bit of a foriegn novelty at this point, don't worry as long as he is happy and healthy it will happen.
My 3 year old still does it, if it was up to him,he'd live on pasta and boob milk.
