Are the rumors true? Is Tropical Source really discontinuing its chocolate baking chips line? Not that it will affect me directly (I don't get them here), but I really hate it when vegan products are discontinued due to lack of demand.

On another vegan message board. A woman went to her HFS & couldn't find the chocolate chips. She asked the manager, and he told her that the product had been/was being discontinued. Apparently, he'd even contacted the company to find out and they confirmed this. :(

Of course, this could be a false alarm, and I sure do hope it is. I've also heard that sometimes, when health-food stores do not have a certain item in stock, they tell their customers that the item has been discontinued, presumably so that their customers will not go running to some other HFS.

Those are my favorite, I will cry if they go out of business!! Tropical source is the only 100% vegan chocolate manufacturer w/ completely vegan machinary. Please tell me it's not true! :(

Apparently, only the peanut butter chips are going to be discontinued. I'm not sure about the others, but from what I've heard, they *are* going to continue making the chocolate baking chips.

I sure hope they do continue making the chocolate flavor. They are wonderful!
