We're in one room while our house is being renovated. We have a fridge, a toaster oven, and a microwave. Give us some options - we're tired of Wildwood burgers, sandwiches, and hummus! Oh, and we have a rice cooker and steamer, too, but only a very small bathroom sink so we're trying not to have to wash too much stuff.

Can you chop? We do this in the oven, but I don't see why a toaster oven wouldn't work. First toast a rice tortilla until brown on both sides. Spread with pasta or pizza sauce. Add chopped onion, broccoli, red pepper, kale, etc. Bake for 10-15 minutes or so. Top with pineapple if desired (we do this after the fact so it doesn't make the crust mushy).

If you can chop, howabout making some ratatouille in the microwave, you could serve it with rice or quinoa, I don't have a toaster oven, so I'm not sure what you can do in them, can you grill/broil veg in them?

Hi, it's been a while, but I was wondering how you went on with your toaster oven, you see, my main oven has broken down, so I now have a toaster oven, and I am pretty clueless with it. It has three settings, toast, bake and broil, toast heats from top and bottom, broil from top, and bake from bottom. Which setting is best to use for cooking vegan shepherds pie, or baked potatoes, (I know it prob seems obv to you, but I need Help).
