:) Hi,
I just received my copy of Raising Vegan Children in a Non-Vegan World and I'm really impressed with it. The chapter on 'health' is easy to read and has some useful ideas for achieving a healthy diet .
Although we have been vegan for 7 years, I have, recently, been concerned about our iron intake - myself, partner Michael and our 2 children aged 3 (almost) and 15 months as I have been tired and prone to colds etc. (Though this could simply be due to looking after 2 young children and breastfeeding from March 2000 - December 2002). The manager of our local health store - who is a committed vegan - recommended a product called "Spatone Iron + " . It is 100% natural spring water which is easily absorbed and suitable for children over the age of 2. They have a website <spatone.com> .I don't know if it is available in the US but we've just started using it so I'll report back if our energy levels reach atmospheric heights !!
