Yummi Bears (http://www.yummibears.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=4&page=1) are good. They're like gummy bears, but not super sweet and vegan, of course. They do make some that are non-vegetarian, though, so be careful to get the veggie ones and not the ones with gelatin.

I've looked at many, many chewy vitamins and they're all for age two and up. Everything I've read says to use a liquid vitamin for younger kids. Dosing issues aside it's going to be difficult to persuade a one year old to properly chew the vitamin. Personally I'd rather use the drops anyway because I don't like the idea of giving a kid something that is basically candy every day.

We have 2 children (3.5 and 1.5) and they like Rhino Gummy Bear vitamins. I break one in 1/2 for our 18 month old and we haven't had any problems, our 3 year old gets the recommended 2.

I like the Nordic Berries by Nordic Naturals. They are gummy, so I think 18 mos and up, or whenever you know your little one can chew it thoroughly would be good. Up until then, I'd stick with liquid vitamin drops.

Nordic Berries aren't vegan, FYI - the vitamin D is D3, cholecalciferol, which comes from animal sources, usually sheep's lanolin. Look for supplements with D2, which is synthesized from yeast and plant sources.

This may be the most totally un-vegan thing to say, but I prefer D3 for my baby at this time since I've heard it's better absorbed than D2. We will move to a D2 supplement when he's older. We live in the Pacific Northwest and we don't get a ton of sun.

we use the VegLife Vegan Kids Multiple they are chewable, and for my youngest (year old) I simply score the chewable into fours and give it to her that way!

We use the VegLife multivitamin as well, or at least I try to. The kids can't get used to the iron-y taste of them, but I keep trying!!
