I had unplanned surgery two weeks ago. Girly surgery. It completely knocked me on my butt and I'm only now feeling like I have strength to continue with my challenge. Thankfully, now that it's become a part of my routine I know that I will continue dancing every opportunity I get!!

How's it going? I have two medical issues this fall and it took a while to feel like I was back to normal to do things like exercise. And they weren't big things either (all 4 wisdom teeth removed and cut my foot across it, requiring stitches).

It took me 3 weeks to feel like I was back in the land of the living. Getting older is mean and evil! Today I was exercising and now I've noticed pain in my knees while doing some lunges. Pain in my knees!?!? How is this possible?? I'm only interested in losing 10 lbs (true) and I'm only 29 (not so true). Madness ;)

Eh, I get pain in my knees and I'm only 31. I started yoga a few months ago, though, and it's really helping with my joint and muscle issues. I do gentle classes that mostly help me with my flexibility. I'm also building muscles but for now I'm focusing on classes that move slowly through the positions.

I've also found that once I'm familiar with a basic form structure (Hatha, Vinyasa, etc.) that I can listen to some basic free classes online. It's easier to do it without trying to watch the visuals while you are bending, etc. and if you are familiar with the basic poses, then you can do it.
