I would like to take a moment and personally welcome everyone here to our website veganuniversity (http://www.veganuniversity.com) .
We are a growing group of vegans and vegetarians spread across the continental United States and also Canada and Sweden. Our main goal is to share the message of veganism; how the elimination of animal products from your diet will radically change who you are as a person and ultimately save our planet from destruction by ending the practice of deforestation for the consumption of meat and animal products.
VU is a completely free not for profit endeavor, we have nothing to sell and allow no advertising. It is a place where you can relax, learn, and take it slow and easy. VU is an interactive website and when you register you become part of an exciting online community. Our secondary goal is to spread the message of peace and happiness in the world, that through compassion we can all find more happiness than we had expected. We promote many types of environmental activities, volunteer work, and ideas which we hope will make the world a better place for all living creatures.
Despite the fact that the site is still quite "young" we have a lot to offer. You can relax and read an article in the Classes Offered section. At VUICA (The Vegan University Institute of Culinary Art) you can find one of our delicious recipes along with full digital images, we are constantly updating with new recipes. Join us in the Discussion Forums on a variety of topics including a forum for single vegans. Download a vegan book at the File Locker and when you visit be sure to sign the Chalkboard. You can even meet with friends in Student Chat to exchange ideas and opinions in real time.
We are currently searching for individuals who would like to help us get VU "off the ground" by becoming active in a variety of ways. Perhaps you have some nice recipes you would like to submit or you enjoy writing and would like to share your thoughts in an article. It might be that you are a programmer and you enjoy coding in PHP. Whatever your interests I am sure if you are vegan then you would have something to contribute to our little fledgling community. So stop on by and check out the site, we welocme all individuals with open minds and big hearts!
