Can anyone help me? I am trying to find a lip balm, gloss and also lip stick that does not have any animal products in it, especially beeswax. I cannot find a lip gloss/balm anywhere that does not have beeswax in it.

What do you guys use?

Thanks!

I picked up some lip balm at a veg festival once, but it wasn't that great.

I would pop over to the online vegan stores and see if they sell anything. www.veganessentials.com, www.veganstore.com, and www.differentdaisy.com

Erin:

Thanks for your reply. I looked on Pangea and found several lip balms that I think I'm going to try.

THANKS!!

We always buy ours from Pangea -- I use the hemp-oil stick one (vanilla) which is really good & also lasts a long time -- my daughter uses their peppermint one that comes in a little jar. I shop at Vegan Essentials too -- I don't know what I would do without these online stores. I have never seen a vegan lipbalm in an ordinary store, except in England.

Hope you find ones you like.

Thanks so much for all your responses. I will definitely be trying all of those recommendations. I'm a lip balm fanatic so I'm looking forward to ordering them!

I am a lip balm fanatic myself, and I had a hard time finding vegan lip balms. I went to differentdaisy.com and ordered 5 different kinds, just to see which ones I liked best! Yep, I'm a goof.:D

Anyway, my favorites are:

Dirty Hippie Soaps Cool Crush (yummy orange flavor!)
All Around the World Hemp Peppermint
Merry Hempsters Vanilla

Now I just need some lip balm with a little color to replace my Dr. Pepper lip gloss from Bonne Bell.

Dr Pepper lip gloss? Sounds cool....does it taste like Dr Pepper? I have tons of lip balms and lipsticks too, I'm such a sucker for make-up....say, i wonder if Origins has vegan lipcolors...

try http://www.veganstore.co.uk/lip_balm.html . Incidently, this is a place for vegans who are trying to take the leap of starting new businesses, or selling stuff independantly, too. The "notice board" changes now and then, but there's interesting stuff on there sometimes.

I'm a fan of The Merry Hempsters also. Their tangerine is mmm-mmm-mmmy. In the scale of oil to wax ratios it's a little more on the oily side than a lot of commercially made chapsticks, but once I got used to it I found that it actually helps my lips feel softer when they're not glossed up rather than just coating them with wax like a lot of other lip balms seem to.
