Vegan alternative to Lansinol?

My friend just had twins, and the hospital gave her Lansinol to use for nipple soreness while getting breastfeeding established. What are some vegan alternatives that would not have to be wiped off before feedings?

I've used Vitamin E successfully for a LOT of skin irritations. Just soften the capsule under running hot water, then pierce. The consistency of the E oil is tacky, not slippery, which helps it to adhere to the skin better, too.

I am using Olive oil. It helps but needs to be applied 3-4 times a day. VM
