I just wanted to share that we had an Ultrasound this morning. My 7 yr old son and 5 yr old son were so excited to see the baby. We watched their ultrasound tapes last night to get them prepared for what they would be seeing. I guess we are in the minority because we didn't want to know the sex of the baby. Actually if the truth be known, I would of found out but my dh doesn't want to know and I would not be able to keep that secret. So we will all wait till September 15th or there abouts to find out.

The baby looks great and is measuring at 26 1/2 weeks and weights a little under 2 lbs. The baby is measuring a week ahead of schedule. The baby just had a good old time while we were doing the ultrasound constantly moving. I'm afraid I will be having another big healthy baby, since mine don't seem to come early. With my other two pregnancies I was eating the SAD and had good size babies 8 lb 7 oz and 8 lb 10 oz. Now my family and I have been eating a vegan diet for 1 1/2 years. I have been reading your posts on having big babies and it scares me just a little. I am for the natural childbirth with no drugs. Right now I am just excited about my healthy vegan baby I am carring.
:D
Blessings,
Tamara

Tamara, congratulations on seeing the little one. I quite enjoyed our 20 week ultrasound too. I love seeing the baby in there.

I'm hoping my baby isn't too big either. With my first they induced me 2 weeks early so I have no idea how big she would have been if she came when she wanted to.

Are your kids excited? And what advice do you have for me to prepare my three year old for the coming of her little brother?

Erin,
I suggest having birthday presents for your daughter for when the baby gets here. And let her pick out a present for the baby.

With my #3 I was panicked that my #2 would be very jealous...so I had presents for him to enjoy when the baby got here.
I also let my #2 decide on baby's first outfit to be put on. He felt so big making those decisions.
I didnt notice any jealousy at all :-) Everyone was happy.

That's a good idea. Thanks! I like the idea of letting Emily help dress him. She'll like that.
