This is my 3rd preganancy. 1st as a vegan. Other 2 were "slipped up" vegatarian. (I had cheese and meat a couple x's, now regretting it as my youngest has MAJOR allergies)

Anyhow I have a mitral valve prolapse that requires antibiotics before birth. Is there anyway to still have a home birth? I had the my other 2 in a hospital (my experience was HORRIBLE, it was the nurses!). I am also trying to find a midwife.(I am 18 wks) Because me and my dr do not get along(he ignore every ? i have!) My great dr before moved to N. Carolina (how dare he!)

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure of the answer, but ask the home birthing midwives if they will attend a homebirth with you and/or if they can provide the antibiotics.

alternatively, maybe a birthing center would be a good intermediate option if you can't have a home birth.

I agree with Erin. You should try to find a really supportive midwife who can give you all the information you need. And if you are not getting support from your doctor, you should 'shop around' for one who supports you. i think its great that you are wanting to give homebirth a go. Someone I know had a caesar with her first baby, and wanted a vaginal birth the second time round but her midwife and doctor said it was a bad idea, so she found a midwife who supported her and she ended up having the baby at home in the bath! I think that's a cool story :)
Good luck!

Thank you and I will do just that. I would like it to be possible. So I will be searching for answers as I know the 4 1/2mths will fly by quicker then I can get stuff done, LOL.
