Okay...it's not like i'm *intentionally* pigging out or anything...but it seems in order for me to hit atleast the 2000 calorie mark (i am in my first trimester) that i gotta eat all the time.
I hate it. I am never hungry and always stuffed walking around feeling like a blimp! Any suggestions??? Please?

I think you should only eat as much as you feel like, I would forget about the 2000 calorie thing , it'll just be too frustraing. Listen to your body and it'll tell you how much to eat. In all 3 of my pregnancies I ate hardly anything in the first trimester due to morning sickness. Then in the second trimester I ate like a horse because I was so hungry. In the third trimester I couldn't overeat or I would feel like bursting. I never calculated calories or anything, just ate a balanced diet, and my babies were all very healthy, and weighed 8lbs 10oz, 8lbs 7oz, and 9 lbs 11oz respectively. Just eat enough to feel good, and if you're eating good food you'll be totally fine!

I agree with Sophie. Don't obsess with numbers during pregnancy.
Eat healthy foods in healthy quantities.
I just gave birth to an 8 pound 8 ounce baby boy. I had gained 30 pounds during pregnancy and 9 days after giving birth I am back at my pre-pregnancy weight. I wonder how long this wonderful weight loss will continue.... :D

well...i can't just not count calories cause that's just how i've been for years. I'm slightly obsessive-compulsive about that. But i've just made a grocery list and i'm going to start eating higher calorie foods, and add soy cheese or veganaise to practically everything! Lol.
Being constantly hungry can be a symptom of gestational diabetes. The hunger is caused by insulin resistance. Make sure you tell your doctor/midwife about this, and get your blood glucose levels checked.
In the meantime, stay away from refined carbohydrates. When you do eat carbohydrates, use complex ones as much as you can (whole grains, beans, etc) and prepare them with a little bit of a healthy fat, such as olive oil. The fat will slow down the digestion of the carbohydrates, and will prevent your blood sugars from spiking upwards.
Also drink plenty of WATER. Oftentimes, hunger is mistaken for thirst.

I agree with everyone else. Don't worry about calories, just eat healthily. If you really feel like you've got to hit the mark, have lots of nut butters, flax oil in smoothies, avacado, soy cheese, you get the idea. More calories in less bulk. I'm usually very sick with pregnancy so I'm doing good to eat period.
