I lift weights, which gives me strength when I dance. You want enough protein and carbs but strive for complex carbs. Eating this balance immediately AFTER the workout (or, within 90 minutes) is your optimal 'window.' as the body muscle has just been broken down and, like a sponge, is ready to absorb replenishment fuels.

Just remember to give your body as much pure, wholesome foods as you can....it is working very hard!
