I have been using Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner for awhile because it is marketed as natural, environmentally friendly, non-animal tested, and as plant derived, containing no animal byproducts. However, I saw an advertisement today that read "Great Deals and Rebates on Proctor and Gamble products! See items # 1-12!" Sure enough, Clairol was one of the featured product brands. Say it isn't so! If it really is made by Proctor and Gamble (who I will NOT support!), what cruelty-free hair care products do you recommend??

Yes, Herbal Essence is made by Procter and Gamble. I really believe that Procter and Gamble has been beaten down too hard. Try calling them and asking them about their animal testing or lack there-of. Also if you read the ingredients you will see "glycerin" which is likely of an animal source but you could try calling them. That's why I stopped using herbal essence.
