Noone has written in a couple of weeks, so I thought it is time for an entry with something fun.

Hubby and I have been resisting any baby preparations until the past few weekends. However, as I entered my eight month we decided it was time to get moving. We have been busily aquiring furnature, rearranging rooms around the house, and setting up the baby's room. I'm happy to report that Baby's room is starting to look mighty cute. Having a changing table and crib set up makes me start to think a baby is maybe coming. It's been exciting getting this stuff together.

We just have a few things left to do before I think we are really ready. The main one (other than cleaning up odds and ends at the office) is coming up with a name, should the baby be a boy. Any suggestions? For a girl we are thinking of Juniper Rose, after my Aunt Jeanette and my husband's mom (Rona). For a boy, the best we have been able to agree upon is Trevor.

As for me, I'm doing well. I hope all is going with you...especially those of you who are still struggling through the first trimester. Write back and let us know what's up.

I like the name Eden for a boy or a girl. You know, as in the Garden of Eden? It sounds so peaceful.

Dear Sharon,
it's such an exciting time preparing for baby in the last few weeks! And knowing your life is about to change in so many ways. It still seems so faraway for me (I'm up to 10 weeks now, still have nausea plus a cold!) so it's cool to hear from someone who is "nearly there". We've started on name lists already in our house, (well, I have) because my partner changes his mind every week, so just when we've settled on a name I'll bring it up the next month and he'll say "oh, I don't like it anymore!" Because it's our third, it seems harder to find something we both like. I think Juniper Rose is a great name, by the way. Good luck in your preparations!

Well I am 20wks now. So half way through! It is sad though, as this will probably be my last. I have already been making lists and such. I don't have much to buy as this is my third, but you still have diapers, breastpads, coming home outfit, and we will have to look for a new highchair. On the 19th we can found out what we are having, we don't know yet if we want to or not.

It's great to have so many vegan moms-to-be, and moms-to-contiunue (I guess:confused: )

I expect this second baby will be my last, too, as I am nearly 38 and don't want to go on into my forties (even though I know it's possible, and have known people who successfully did so).

I am at 20, nearly 21 weeks too!

And trying to hold off getting all the baby things until it's really necessary -- we will be moving back to the USA this month and into a new house, so there will be a lot to do.

Like you, momof3, I'm just about to have my ultrasound. Half the family wants us to find out what we are having -- but we want to wait till the birth. We have thought of Emily Dorothy for a girl, and Timothy Stephen for a boy. These are all names of people dear to us.

Eden is nice. Juniper's very unusual but certainly pretty -- and names from the plant kingdom are especially sweet, I think.
