Does anyone know if herbal teas such as raspberry leaf or "pregnancy tea" (a blend of nettles, raspberry leaf, strawberry leaf, and bitter fennel) can cause diarrhea? I've had a mild case of diarrhea for the past 3 or 4 days and the only thing I've changed in my diet that I can think of is that I've been drinking these teas every day now as opposed to once every 7 to 10 days.

The only thing I know is that sometimes that tea can cause contractions. Don't women drink it to bring on labor? Maybe it would cause diarrhea. I'm not sure.
If the tea can be used to stimulate labor, then it very well could stimulate the muscle contractions of the bowel, causing the contents to move more quickly than normal, thus causing diarrhea.

I agree. I think that's why it's recommended as an aid to digestion, to drink it after a meal.
