I am very excited... this is probably not exciting to some of you or maybe you knew this already but i have no one else to tell that would even care...

My daughter went trick or treating for halloween... she went to the mall and got some gum...well on the ingredient label it listed glycerin...so i decided to email the Wrigley Corporation.. I got an email from their head office... and most of Wrigleys gum is Vegan except for one kind .... which is the "Extra Polar Ice" chewing gum...and it contains gelatin... the only reason its not vegan is cuz they said its hard to find non-animal derived gelatin companies out there to get their product from. It does have gelatin listed on the ingredients list...

but anyways im happy... cuz I love their Extra sugar less gum... so does my daughter when shes allowed to have it... well if anyone wants to see the response let me know...they sent a big chart along with it and loads of info...

Since gum has a long shelf life...some of the previous gums were made from a combo of animal and veg sources but they went completely veg... and he told me how to check each package to know which ones r veg and which ones r not... they are very helpful....

i couldnt live somewhere where gum was banned.... lol....

Well since gum is banned here, we don't have to deal with gum in all the wrong places, like on the floor waiting to stick onto our shoes or on a wall waiting to stick onto someone's favour
ite shirt...but Malaysia is only an hour's drive away...why fret?;)

They have a label on all of their products that are vegan stating that the product is suitable for vegans. Not veggies, vegans!! FINALLY, we are being recognized!

I went and bought a bunch of the eclipse breath strips because I can't chew gum but I am not able to eat mints either as a teacher. The strips dissolve very quickly.

Wow... how cool is this? I stopped chewing Trident when I decided to go vegan, and I just figured that vegan gum didn't exist. I am really excited to learn about Wrigley's! Thanks for posting this info, tricia!

Why is gum banned there and how come I'm the only who seems interested in why?
