solgar acidophilus now has casein

I've been buying Solgar dairy-free multi-acidophilus powder. The label looked different at the store today. I think it said non-dairy and lactose-free (bad memory!). In any case, I checked the ingredients and it now has casein in it! I couldn't find another dairy-free powder, so I bought a "vegetarian" capsule in another brand. Just a heads-up...

Maybe you can try a different store that has not gotten the new stock in and then stock up of the kind with the old formula.

I take a chewable acidophilus pill made by American Health. It says it's milk free; casein is not on the ingredient list. It also has a few other ingredients that would have been questionable, except that it specifies that it is from vegetables, such as "Vegetable Stearic Acid." It says it's guaranteed to be free of milk or milk derivitaves. They are strawberry flavored and taste pretty good. HTH.
