Christa, I greatly appreciate your article about soy! Your research was so thorough, I even had my husband read it!

Yes it was a great article, Christa. I'm getting a lot of positive feedback on it including a few phone calls.

Spread the link people. Let's help dispel all that anti-soy stuff.

My dh says that I should have used a pseudonym as I probably painted a big bulls eye on my head w/ my criticism of WAPF and others. I haven't rec'd any death threats yet ;) .

Thanks for the compliments :) .

Yeah, great article Christa! I'm going to send the link to my parents since I remember them getting a little "concerned" about some stupid article in the paper a while back...
Oh yeah and I posted the link on another board this morning and someone already said it was "fantastic" and that he bookmarked it..

Wow, i was going to post this "good job" but ya'll beat me to it. Thanks for providing such a well researched and balanced article on this topic. :) And if they DO come after you, just wave some tempeh in their faces and I'm sure you'll scare them off!

I posted the link on mothering.com (although somehow I didn't realize that you were the one who wrote it!), but it didn't get a response...perhaps b/c I said in the thread that I WASN'T looking to start a soy debate?

Thank you, Christa. That was a wonderful, well-researched article. I posted a thread on www.veganpath.com for new vegans or not to help clear up some of the soy-bashing that's been going on for years. Very helpful and informative, thanks again.

The people who frequent the nutrition board at mothering probably recognize my name since I used to post there, too. I avoid the nutrition part of that board now b/c I was just making myself irritated with trying to defend vegetarian diets against the very pro-animal products coalition that seems to exist there.

They probably don't want to get into anymore arguments with me -- maybe that's why you got no responses. lol! Either that or maybe people have actually decided to entertain the idea that we may not all be totally off-based. Of course, it has only been a few days. I may have been reported to the 'higher ups' at WAPF. I'm waiting for the rebuttals. Oh well, I'll try not to be too thin-skinned.

I'd just like to add my thanks to Christa, too. I've started reading it but now have it printing so hubby and I can both read it later - especially the soy formula part, as we've had to supplement our wee fellow with formula. Our midwife let us know that she was concerned about soy formula, and gave us a Ministry of Health-produced pamphlet listing the concerns.
