Well this came as somewhat of a shock to my husband and myself, but the timing is really good. Just days after I released my book and finally had a breather from a hectic schedule, I realized that I had really sore boobs and my period was late.
Steve and I took a pregnancy test, not really believing it was possible, but there it was... two lines. We were happy but really shocked since we practice safe sex and I was keeping track of my fertility. But I guess when a baby wants in, it finds a way!
I am due August 6th. We waited until I started my second trimester to announce it. And we saw the heartbeat on an ultrasound, so everything looks good. It has been really hard keeping quiet about being pregnant, and it feels good to finally be able to talk about it publicly.
My first trimester went amazingly well. I only had slight nausea, which was great compared to my first pregnancy with all day nausea that had me incapacitated!
So, ladies... count me among the vegan and pregnant!
