vegan kids playdate

I volunteer for a local animal rights awareness group by, among other tasks, answering the messages on their phone line. Most of the messages are from meanies who want us to help them euthanize their companion animals that have outspent their usefulness, but the other day a woman called about volunteering. It turns out that she's a stay-at-home vegan mother! AND she has a son the same as as my oldest boy. They came to play this weekend and they are fabulous. I don't want to be snobby, but vegan children are so much sweeter, kinder and calmer. There wasn't one "Mom, so-and-so hit me". Nice.

Sounds nice. I can only compare our nephews to one other little girl who was also adopted and her parents are lacto veggie. The boys are hell on wheels and the little girl is very sweet, though she growls at kids about her age that come close. I think that is more of "This is my mom, stay away" than anything else.

Hopefully, the two of you can continue to do playdates.

What a wonderful, precious thing to find a fellow parent and child with the same philosophies to do play dates with! I am pea green with envy .
