Newbie!

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, I've just come from being a Fruitarian for ten years and I'm really excited about being a Vegan! and learning as much as I can! I think it may take a while to figure out my place in all of this but this is why I'm here!

Welcome.

I'm sure others will have the same questions as I do about being a fruitarian. I'm sure I will sound just like a meat-eater when I say, "Where did you get your B-12?"

I can only imagine the questions you got when you told people what you ate. And 10 years... that must have been an interesting journey. Share some of it with us so we know what it's like.

Hi Erin.

Hi Erin, sure, I don't mind answering any questions! as for b12, I never really worried about it! apparently the body is make it's own supply. The thing about Fruitarianism is that information is not very well documented or outdated and I learnt that most of what we've been taught by modern medicine is simply not true! so you really have to be willing to let go of what you think you know. Simple vegan,
do you live in a part of the country where you can get access to fresh fruit all the time?
Here in the midwest, in the winter time it's either way over ripe or way under!
Did you only do "organic"?
just curious.
Welcome to vegfamily! Looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi annie, I'm from Dallas,Texas, and we try to get organic every thing when we can, my wife works at a market that sells produce. I found that the quality/treatment of modern fruits is really bad, I personaly belive that fruit was never meant to be mass produced, it was meant to be picked fresh from the tree and eaten on the spot, these days by the time our fruits get to our dinner tables all the vitality has gone from them. hope that helped.
