My happy vegan

Last week I was talked into taking the boys to Harvey's for some fries and a veggie burger. While standing in line waiting for the burgers to cook, my 6 1/2 year old son turned to the woman standing next to us and said with such pride "I'm a vegetarian!" (I think he's realized at such a young at that not many people know what a vegan is). The woman replied, a little uncomfortably, "Good for you. I tried to be a vegetarian once, but it didn't work for me". To which my adorable little man said with enormous gusto "Well, it's working for me!"

So very, very, very adorable and a very proud moment for this vegan mom.

Isn't it wonderful when your children speak their values and beliefs with pride and commitment?!
