This is horrible
I can't stop thinking about this. One of the mothers (a single mum) at our preschool has recently got together with a new boyfriend, who is a farmer. Her and her little 3 year old girl have all but moved in with the boyfriend. Anyway, a mutual friend told me that the new boyfriend had done something really cruel to a possum, she said it made her feel sick but I asked her not to tell me as I knew it would make me feel ill. (possums are a pest in this country so people think it's their right to do what they want to them, even if this means torturing). then she told me that the boyfriend made the little girl watch a sheep being killed. I don't know what the purpose was. I mean, I believe children should know what they are eating, but being made to watch a sheep being murdered at the age of 3 ????? Every time I see the little girl I feel so sad, like she has lost a part of her innocence or something.
