Question:

My obstetrician sent me to a nutritionist to make sure my vegan diet is adequate. After showing her a food diary, she noticed I ate only fruit until noon and suggested I eat a high protein breakfast instead. Can eating only fruit until noon harm my baby?

Answer:

Not really, but the total protein intake during the day should be adequate, approaching 100 grams of well-balanced protein.
