Question:

Is it true that eating soy products and nuts during the last trimester can cause allergies to those items in my baby? Should I avoid eating them?

Answer:

Eating soy products and nuts is unlikely to cause an allergy to those items in your baby. Unless you, as the mother, have a history of allergies, I don't think there is much to be gained by avoiding these high-protein foods. The mother will not transfer her allergies to the baby.
