Pandora Pads

Okay, ladies, this review is for you. I've been using disposable sanitary napkins during menstruation for years. I've always avoided tampons due to the toxicity levels, but never really thought about what could be lurking in the disposable pads. Plus, I never thought I had a choice.

Then I received a sample of Pandora Pads, 100% cotton, with terry cloth inserts. I'll admit I was a little squeamish at the thought of washing the pads and using them again. But I know people who use them and assured me it was no big deal. So I tried them. The pads snap around your underwear, no velcro or sticky stuff. They're soft and extremely comfortable. In fact, I forgot I was wearing a pad! They absorb well too. But what would happen when I went to wash them?

First I soaked them in cold water and then I ran them through the washing machine. They came out quite nicely! One of the pads I was using came in a maroon color, which was kind of nice since then you can't see anything on the pad! But when I washed it the dye got everywhere. I'm hoping that was a one time occurrence.

The bottom line is that these pads are better for the environment and your body, plus they absorb well and are quite comfortable. My days of using disposable are over. I highly recommend trying these.
