Product ReviewsProBar - The Whole Food Meal Replacementwww.theprobar.com Review by Cynthia Mosher
Meal replacement bars are usually run-of-the-mill for me. There's just not a lot out there I consider to be something to look forward to eating. In comes ProBar with a whopper of a bar meal! I tried every one of them - Superfood Slam, Art's Original Blend, Whole Berry Blast, Nutty Banana Boom, Apple Cinnamon Crunch, Cran-Lemon Twister and Koka Moka. Each have their own special taste of course but being the apple and cinnamon lover that I am, I knew which one would be my favorite before I tasted it. My children all loved the Koka Moka (is there a kid that doesn't like chocolate?) and with the bars free of sugar and as organic as possible in ingredients, I feel good about offering them one as a treat.
Article continues below The bars run between 350-360 calories each and are all vegan. No processed ingredients - these are filled with good whole foods stuff like flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, dates, brazil nuts, corn flakes, pineapple juice, organic rye, hemp seeds, almonds, apples, oat bran, crisp brown rice, and other such natural goodness - exactly the sort of ingredients we put in our own homemade treats. The 15 whole foods guaranteed in each ProBar are also about 70% raw. At $3 each they are a bit pricey but they are quite a bit larger than most other bars on the market so it works out. If you're looking for a filling bar to have on hand as a quick breakfast when you just don't have time to make anything, an energy food to carry in your backpack, or a treat to indulge in over a warm cuppa, any of the ProBar offerings are sure to please you. But take my word for it and try the Apple Cinnamon Crunch. Delightful! |
