www.imaginefoods.com
Review by Erin Pavlina

Imagine Foods Alright, everyone stand back because this product is going to blow you away. Have you had the pleasure of dining on some Soy Dream ice cream from Imagine Foods? If you have, you'll know why I'm salivating just thinking about it. And if you haven't had any, well, you must get into your car or onto your bike and go get some. Like now.

Soy DreamAt first I confused Soy Dream with Soy Delicious. But my friend, Allison Rivers from Allison's Gourmet, quickly cleared up my confusion. "No," she said, "not Soy Delicious... Soy DREAM. I can't believe you haven't tried it!" Well, when Allison tells me something is good, I have to go try it. So off to Whole Foods I went. I was greeted with a huge line of Soy Dream products. Ice cream by the quart and the pint, ice cream pies and bars, and sandwiches. Where to start?

Soy DreamI was checking out the pints when one title hit me like a ton of bricks, square in the pleasure center of my brain, "Butter Pecan!" Butter Pecan? How can that be vegan? Skeptical, but praying all the while, I snatched it up, read the ingredients, and whammo, it was vegan all right. That one got dumped into my cart. Now, let's see what else I can try (all in the name of research right?)

By the time I was through, the Butter Pecan had some friends in my cart. Strawberry Swirl and Vanilla Fudge Swirl. I decided I'd come back later to try the sandwiches, pies, and bars.

Soy DreamThank goodness I have a large collection of people who want to help me try stuff. I'm not sure I could have eaten all those items myself (those of you who know me well know that my large collection of testers consists of Me, Myself, and I, just to name a few.)

Eventually I tried almost everything and I gotta tell you, there isn't a dud in the bunch. It's all good, people! My favorite is Strawberry Swirl. The texture on these beauties is amazingly like the "real" stuff. Not icy like some products. Smooth, creamy, delicious.

If I haven't impressed upon you how wonderful this line of vegan ice cream is then clearly I have not done this review properly. I still have a few more lines of ice cream to try, but they are going to be hard pressed to beat Soy Dream.
