I was vegetarian when I had my first son. Kai was born after a 19 hour labour in hospital and was delivered by forceps. A healthy 8lb 120z.

I was vegan when I got pregnant with my second child and I was worried that it would be even bigger. The midwife said she didn't think she would be and I gave birth to my daughter after a 6 hour labour with no drugs and felt fantastic afterwards. Rowan weighed 8lb 11oz!

My last child was born after a 9 hour natural labour. Like his brother Beck was a shoulder distocia (he was large and wide and his shoulders got a bi stuck!) Not surprising when he weighed 10lb 5oz!

All of my children were bigger than the national average. At 8 Kai is now in 12-13 year olds clothes and stands a head taller than the rest of his class.

Who says vegan children don't get the right nutrition to grow big and strong!
