Whether you're vegan or not, there's one thing no pregnancy should be without: fruit smoothies. High in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, they are an integral part to a healthy pregnancy. So I offer you the following recipes I've perfected over the last several years. Tried and true, ladies, so dig in and don't be shy.

The Essential Ingredients:
Every fruit smoothie has three essential ingredients. Always keep them on hand. They are: bananas, frozen fruit, and fruit juice. You also need a blender, though I highly recommend a Vitamix instead. The best purchase I ever made. After 11 years it's still going strong!

Directions:
Every smoothie listed here has the same directions. Put all the ingredients in the blender in the order listed and mix on high until fully blended.
