Vegan Recipes - Side Dishes

Raw Hummus

This hummus is great with Mexican Flax Crackers or as a dip for veggies.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups sprouted chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cold pressed olive oil 1/2 cup tahini
  • Cumin, paprika, onion powder to taste (optional)


Directions: Soak chickpeas 24 - 48 hours and then drain. Put in a glass casserole dish and allow them to sprout for 2 days, rinsing 2-3 times a day. 3/4 cup dry chickpeas will yield about 2 cups sprouts.

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and thin with water to desired consistency.
