Vegan Recipes - Basic Belly Balm

Basic Belly Balm

Basic Belly Balm

By Cynthia Mosher

This basic balm recipe has the addition of essential oils that are good for stressed skin. Mandarin and Neroil help with stretchmarks. Lavender is known for its healing properties. Mix them all with cocoa butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil and you have a nice belly balm.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
  • 1/8 cup jojoba oil
  • 5 drops neroli
  • 5 drops mandarin
  • 5 drops lavender
Directions:
Warm the coconut, cocoa butter, and jojoba oils together over very low heat, stirring until melted. Allow to cool. Add the essential oils. Mix well. Pour into a clean jar or tins with lids. Store in a cool dry place.

When the oils are all melted, allow it to cool, add the essential oils and pour into another container for the mixture to be stored in.

Note: You may use Rosewood, Rose, Tangerine, Patchouli, or any other pregnancy-safe essential oil you may prefer in place of one of the above oils.
