Why Did You Go Vegan?AndyI became vegetarian about 3 years ago. The only reason I became veggie was because of the animal rights issues. When I became a vegetarian I got rid of all my leather items and have been leather free since. I also stayed away from eggs when I went veggie, and I didn't like drinking milk, so the only issue for me was cheese!I gave up cheese and I have been vegan for 4 months now and I am never going back. I have discovered so many new foods from around the world and I would not trade my diet for anything. I have also noticed that I have become more concious about my health and what is in the foods I put in my body. In addition, it is wasteful to spend all the time, money and resources required to produce meat, when we can spend that money on veggies, fruits, and grains and produce much more food. The meat industry is destructive to the environment and is very violent. If any vegetarians are doing it for the animal rights issues, explain to them the evils of the milk and egg industries...I know that explaining helped convince me to GO VEGAN!
